The kids' loft
Two twin beds under the peak, a lounge with stump stools and a telescope, and a nook at the top of the stairs with the bear and the lantern.
A vintage ski chalet in the pines at Homewood, Lake Tahoe. A loft the kids claim as their own, a game room in the garage, a hot tub and a fire pit under the trees, and the marina and the lifts minutes from the door.

Two twin beds under the peak, a lounge with stump stools and a telescope, and a nook at the top of the stairs with the bear and the lantern.

The garage, turned over to arcade, shuffleboard, poker and a neon sign. Bikes and balls on the rack by the door.

The stone fireplace lit in the great room, the hot tub open under the string lights, and the fire pit ringed with red chairs.

A queen room in blue gingham, a second bedroom under the eaves, and a tub under the slope with robes on the rail.

Dinner outside under the pines, breakfast in the green chairs, and the mudroom bench inside the door for skis, boots and lake gear.
Walk to the marina and the beach in about two minutes. Homewood Mountain's lifts are about five minutes away. The bike path runs through the trees behind the house.
